We have berries and currants to harvest.
12th June ‘25
I’m all ready to head to the Grffin gardens for the weekly update….! I had an hour with Alfie yesterday, going through the gardens to see how he can be inspired to use our produce for the 2 events he’s got coming up in the Gathering Space. This is the first. It’s so fab to be talking with someone who is up for using the likes of borage and nasturtium!
We have so many little ruby gems in the gardens at the moment that its all fingers needed to harvest them and get them in the freezer or into icecreams and jams. Super tasty redcurrants, raspberries and strawberries.
Look at how the grey/green/black and white fly are off the carts at the moment this year. I wonder if we’ll see more ladybirds as a result?
The apples are coming too! They will be loving all this rain. And I’ve been able to offer an abundance of kale, chard and spinach on the table this week - richly green, tasty and nutritious.
